The Meeting With a New Partner (Ryuta)

Emira was walknig through the hallways of the Academy slowly and solemnly. Today was her first day back to school ever since the encounter with the Witches. She felt very discouraged and didn't want to talk to anyone. She felt herself getting more broken with each step she took; the only thing in her mind was flashbacks of Exzavier dying in her arms, rewinding in her head constantly, which made her overwhelmed with anxiety inside. She continued to walk, out of the Academy until she reached the school grounds. It was sunset, about time to start heading home, and she sighed to herself, unsure what she planned on doing. Going to that home by herself was a lonely experience, since Exzavier didn't live with her anymore. She started to walk slowly, looking around for anything that might come in her way.

A kid in white clothing, with long, blood red hair was laying out on in the school grounds. He had his hands under his head and seemed to be staring off into the sky. As she entered the area a calm wind blew toward her, from his direction, then circled around her and blew her hair, making it point at him. Could it have been the wind of fate? Or could it be some mere coincidence?

Ryuta was watching two clouds come together. As they came together they seemed to resemble the shape of doves, flying around each other. This made Ryuta raise an eyebrow because he had never seen such a cloud shape so perfectly before. "That's... strange..." he muttered as he watched the two doves come closer and closer before colliding together.

Emira looked around for a long moment, unsure why it had been so windy that day. She looked in Ryuta's direction, almost confused; when did he get there? She didn't see him a minute ago. She continued to stare down into the city for a long moment, unsure when she was ready to begin walking.

"Hm..." she hummed to herself. She wasn't sure what she was going to do when she got home.

Ryuta closed his eyes for a moment. And as he did, something blotted out the sun over Emira. Ryuta opened his eyes for a moment and then saw something large falling from the sky. He looked in its path directory and noticed a girl. His eyes widened and he scrambled to his feet, running at the girl and tackling her out of the spot she was in. Just a few moments after they came to a stop the ground shook with a bang as the creature landed.

A twenty foot talle kishin with a stub for a right arm and a long right arm with a spiked hand. Its left eye was gone while its right eye were larger than normal. It looked down at where it landed, and not seeing its prey dead, gave out a loud roar.

Emira stood in that spot for a while longer, but heard someone jolting toward her. Her eyes widened when she looked beside her, the boy she had seen before ramming into her and pushing her back. She skid on the ground against the concrete, coughing from the impact, seeing a large kishin suddenly landing where she stood previously. Her eyes widened as she gasped, unsure what to say.

"W-what... what the hell..." her voice muttered; it was the only thing on her mind.

Ryuta was about to say something but then looked back at the Kishin as he heard it turn. It raised its spiked hand and was coming down on them with it. "Kuso," cursed Ryuta as he grabbed her shoulders and rolled out of the way with her. Now she was on top of him and the giant spiked hand was a few feet from them. He looked up at her, their faces close together. "Uh..." he said as he stared for a moment, forgetting about the Kishin.

The Kishin then let out another roar, interrupting his thoughts as it got angry from its prey. Its prey that wouldn't stop moving. It lost site of them pretty easily since its eye was on the side of its body that its arm was not.

Emira watched as the Kishin had gone to attack them, but Ryuta had quickly rolled themselves away, which made her wince from being started. Their faces got close together and her eyes widened as she flushed slightly, but her attention once again directed to the Kishin as it roared once more. She clenched her firsts as she looked at Ryuta once more, "Weapon or meister?" she asked him, pointing to the tag on her shirt that read MEISTER. She had to wear one once more since she had lost her weapon.

"Weapon," said Ryuta as his hand turned into a blade, then his forearm changed into a golden staff, and then his upper arm shot off into the form of a chain. Then chain shot up and met the creatures hand, wrapping around it. "Hold on," said Ryuta before he whipped his body and sent the creatures hand flying away from them before releasing it and his arm came back to normal. He was now on her, looking down at her with his arm now under her back.

Emira looked at him for a long moment, unsure what to say, her face going slightly pink. She didn't know what was going on, everything happened so quickly, but she blinked several times in confusion, "..." she was unsure what to say.

"Can you fight?" he asked her after the Kishin fell on its side and was clumsily trying to get up. "can you fight!?" he repeated as he looked at the Kishin struggling to its knees. It was too heavy for his Gale Force Blast at its current level. He would need help killing it.

Emira almost didn't register what he had said until he repeated it loudly, which startled her. She looked more nervous as she nodded though, getting up from under him slowly, "Transform into a weapon. I'll see what I can do for the temporary time I can handle you." she pursed her lips, if this ends badly, my hands will be burnt to crisp...

Ryuta stood up and looked at her. "You need to stay confident and focus. Stay calm. Be like the wind, calm and relaxed, yet confident and focused. Free," said Ryuta as he jumped into the air, flipping in a spin above her as he glew brightly. He then turned into a bright golden staff that gleamed in the sunlight. He spun as he fell straight for her. The kishin was now on its feet and looking around for them.

Emira quickly caught him, but his surface felt slightly hot, which burned her hands a bit. Trying to ignore it, she spun him around herself, then holding him firmly as she looked to the Kishin, "Filthy little kishin... Behind that body, your a weak, defenseless egg waiting to be eaten." she snarled. She was waiting for an opening to attack as the surface of the staff started to cool off.

After she spoke, a large gust of wind blew off from them. The Kishin turned and looked down at them. It roared and then raised its hand into the air. "Now girl!" yelled Ryuta as a blade sprouted from the part of him that was closest to the Kishin. "throw me, aim for the chest!"

Emira nodded as she gripped the staff tightly; she knew what she was doing, she worked with a weapon similar to this before. She waited for the right opening until the kishin was just in front of her. She the. Reached in erode tossing the staff toward it's chest at full speed.

To give it a little boost, Ryuta's hand pointed out the opposite end of the staff. Wind gathered around his palm and then fired out behind him, sending him flying like a rocket straight through the creatures chest and out the back end. He then turned back to normal and his arm shot out, the chain/staff/blade wrapping around the Kishin's neck as it began to dissolve. He landed on its head and looked down at her, smiling. "That was.. fun," he said, his face gentle and calm, a small smile on his face. The wind blew lightly, blowing his hair back behind him, a little strand crossing against his face.

Emira nodded, unsure how to react to that, "I guess..." she looked down to her hands. They were slightly burnt but what made her wonder is the fact that she was easily able to adapt to him afterwards.

The Kishin egg showed as he jumped down from the Kishin. He grabbed it in mid fall and landed next to her. "Whats your name?" he asked before opening his mouth and put the kishin egg in it. He swished it around in his mouth a bit before swallowing. He smiled for a moment, then his face went emotionless and he looked at her.

Emira blinked as he ate the kishin egg, before she looked down, "Erm... Emira Lefay," she felt like the whole school knew her name by this point; which made her ashamed of saying who she was.

"I'm Ryuta Isamu," said Ryuta as he didn't act surprised or anything by her name. Honestly, he knew nothing about her. "It's nice to meet you," he said, holding out his hand to her. He had quite a bit of fun with this girl, and something was telling him to talk to her. It was a little strange though, seeing as he usually only talked to one person.

Emira blinked, watching him as he spoke his name. She nodded as she slowly took his hand to shake it and laughed awkwardly. She wasn't sure what she was getting out of this, but she supposed she might as well stay out a bit longer. Emira normally was shy around others, so she didn't make friends very easily; which is why she was nervous to speak.

Ryuta was about to speak when his face hardened. He looked back at the academy and frowned. The noise of people coming out of classes to get a look at what happened could be heard. "I don't know about you, but I don't feel like standing around with a crowd watching me," he said as he looked back at her, still holding her hand.

Emira nodded, "I don't like being noticed like that either," she spoke solemnly before looking out towards the streets of death. She wondered what was going to happen; especially with all the witches wandering the streets now.

"Where do you wanna go?" asked Ryuta. He held his hand out toward her and smiled. The people were going to reach the steps soon, so they would need to hurry if they were gunna leave without anyone noticing. "Just pick a place and I'll take you there."

Emira wasn't sure what to say; she wasn't really familiar with any places that were actually alone unless they were outside the city, "The forest or desert are the only places without people..." she was still confused. What on earth did he want to talk about with her in private?
