The Searching Soul

Narora formed a blade over the impact area, effectivly blocking the attack and then kicked naught off him. He stood up, retracting all the blades but his forearm blades. "Damn.. Rakku where are you...?"

He paused and looked at Narora. "Who's Rakku? Your meister?" He flew back from Narora skidding back on his heels. He waited for Narora's response.

"Ya. Thats her." He said, he charged at Naught, attempting to stab him with a newly formed Scythe blade that extended from his shoulder and out ward for about 6 feet. he was keeping his distance and staying on the defensive when he drew blood.

Naught evaded almost easily but his odd state of mind made him stumble around and made dodging that much harder. Once Narora was open he extended his palm again aiming for Narora's stomach.

Narora grunted and ducked under his palm, then jumped away, the scythe on his shoulder vanishing in black energy. 'damn. that blood of his stops me from making any good hits. and when i do hit him, he counters with the blood he drops.'

The red under him grew a bit more, his soul was still in control mostly though...

Naught paused and looked at Narora. "Are you really having that hard a time?" He watch Narora carefully looking for any signs of exhaustion or weakness. He knew the fight wouldn't be as easy if Narora had his meister but he could probably take them both. He walked closer to Narora and waited for his response.

Narora smiled. "Ya, i mean im only a one star weapon. but i can try harder..." He grew two more scythe blades. one pair came from his back, and extended upward and downward. the next pair formed on his shins, acting like armor.

'this is my limit, i can't make any more than 6 blades.' He thought to himself, readying himself or anything. the scythes on his back would protect agenced attacks from behind, and he could block every where else with his arms. his shins would be protected by the blades on them.

"Is that so." He was unsure of continuing the fight. He took a hesitant step forward and watched all the blades. He decided he'd wait for Narora to make the first move after all he wasn't trying to hurt the..not too much at least.

Narora crounched down, actualy vanishing from site before he found himself next to Naught's right side. Swinging his right hand down on him.

He held his hand out defending from the blade and the force knocked him back though no real harm was done. He just stood there watching Narora. Besides there wasn't much he could do. Narora wasn't the only one limited without a partner.

Narora took his stance agian. the strain was showing on his soul, for the slited eye that was on it was slowly changing to the 3 eyes of a Kishin. He seemed to know what it was, because he was panting and the silver of his soul was fighting off the red like it was a cold, and the silver was medication.

Naught noticed the eyes and jumped back. "Maybe we should wait for your meister to return. You don't look to well and neither does your soul." He waited for Narora to answer him. He watched curiously wanting to see what the eyes were about and he wanted to see more but it obviously had a negative effect on Narora.

Narora nodded, his scythe blades vanishing as he walked to a bench and sat down. when he started to relax, the red energy was vanishing from his soul. and a few seconds later, all that was left was his normal, silver soul.

He sighed and sat a few feet away from Narora. There was an awkward silence that hung in the air and he finally spoke crushing the silence. "Hey, maybe we can practice together sometimes. Kind of like today, provided I dont get carried away."

Narora grinned at him. "Ya man, it'd be awesome to spar like that every day!" He jumped up and started to ramble on about how he can fight alot better than that.

He laughed a little and then frowned. "I can't wait until im a three star meister." He smiled as his thoughts apparently consumed him making him have a goofy grin on his face. "It'd be so awesome." It seems he was lost in space talking to himself. "Not to mention the books i'll get to borrow from the library!"

"damn right! the one star books suck!" Narora agreed with him, crossing his arms and looking to the side in disgust. He'd read almost every one star book out there.

"The two stars aren't that bad." He sighed. "I just feel i'd get more of a sense of maturity reading the three star books." Then he realized he had forgotten about the ice cream he had brought. He didn't remember what he did with it but it didn't matter much because it was probably finished by now anyway. He shrugged it off for the moment. "I forgot what one star books are like."

"Just a bunch of books on basic fighting styles, and history up to 1000 years in the past. A few soul Resonance books and alot of fiction." he explained. He still remembered what most of it was like... cuz there was nothing else to read but them. "what are the two star books like?"

He frowned and sighed looking up at the moon. "I guess kind of the same just more advanced. Maybe a few more kinds of umm..interesting books." He looked at Narora again. "Now that I think about it, it was so redundant that all the books seem to run together."

"hmm... well, its better than one star. but i have a wile before i become a two star meister..." He sighed. When he became a Death Scythe, he'd have access to all the levels, so that meant reaching to death scythe first was essayer than waiting.

"No kidding." Naught laughed to himself and stood straightening his clothes. He smudged the blood on his hand so it would dry and he wouldn't have to worry about getting it on people. He looked back to the direction to the school.

Narora saw his look and tilted his head. "whatcha' thinkin about Naught-Sempai?" He asked curously. using Sempai to address him as a higher ranked officer.

He sighed. "I think im about to go. Im a little tired. And please, no need for the formalities." He began walking off into the distance but he stopped waiting to see if Narora wanted to say anything else to him. He rubbed his head.

"well, see ya man. night." Narora walked off in the other direction to his home. it wasn't to far from the shop, so he wouldn't get lost.
